I had a little time to myself today. Got in 20 miles on the road bike. Chiled at the house for a little and will see a movie later. At the moment I am at the Flying Saucer enjoying some food and a few brews.
Here’s what I’m having:
Lava lamp: This is a mixture created at the Saucer. It contains Harp Lager, a little Nitro Stout and Lindemand Framboise. Not bad, but won’t go looking for it again. The mixture of the Lager and the Stout didn’t work and the Framboise made it too sweet.
Stone Arrogant Bastard: What can I say? Very good, very strong and a lot of hops.. It is bitter and is definately not for those who like a lighter beer.
St. Arnold Oktoberfest. Very typical of a Texas beer and that of an Oktoberfest. This beer just leaves you wanting…..something else. It is smooth, but tastes like a Miller light with a little more malt. Do not recommend this……ever.
