I had a little time to myself today. Got in 20 miles on the road bike. Chiled at the house for a little and will see a movie later. At the moment I am at the Flying Saucer enjoying some food and a few brews.
Here’s what I’m having:
Lava lamp: This is a mixture created at the Saucer. It contains Harp Lager, a little Nitro Stout and Lindemand Framboise. Not bad, but won’t go looking for it again. The mixture of the Lager and the Stout didn’t work and the Framboise made it too sweet. Continue reading ‘Some time to myself’
Ok, here’s and update on the quest for 200.
I’m at the Flying Saucer getting something to eat and having a Stone Pale Ale!!! Texas could only get the Arrogant Bastard and IPA up ‘til now due to the liquor laws in Texas. Looks like we have the Pale Ale too! Hopefully, this is a sign that more Stone beers are in my future.
The Stone Pale Ale is a great standby as far as pale ale’s go. It has a nice amber color, a fruity sweetness and subtle hoppness to finish it off. Stone yet again proves it is the real king of beers. Continue reading ‘At the Saucer’
